Why Adam didn’t Say No?

The first sin didn’t happen without the consent.
In fact, the consent of Adam was a sin. When Eve got tempted by the forbidden fruit, she hadn't yet sinned. It’s only when she brought it to Adam and he consented to eat it, they got punished.
The Eve is an allegory of a body temptation which natural instincts are hard to control at their very formation point. However the mind is there to control our further acts. 
So why didn’t he say no?
Because he went too far favouring the desire? What if there was a point of realisation, but he was already shamed to stop?
